Unser Präsident Museveni hat verordnet, dass jetzt alle aufhören zu arbeiten.
Alle müssen zu Hause bleiben, außer das medizinische Personal.
Schulen sind geschlossen, Geschäfte sind geschlossen, Taxis und Bod Bodas dürfen nicht mehr auf den Straßen fahren und die Menschen arbeiten nicht mehr.
Deshalb ist die Rate der Infizierten hier derzeit gering.
Die Menschen in der Stadt erhalten Lebensmittel von der Regierung.

Wir erhalten Informationen durch Fernsehen und Radio.
Wie hat sich die Situation in Kojja verändert?
Eine große Herausforderung, die wir im Gesundheitszentrum IV in Kojja haben, ist aufgrund fehlenden Transportes Medikamente in die Einrichtung zu bringen.
Wir können hier keine Tests durchführen, wir untersuchen die Patienten nur und schicken sie ins Mulago-Krankenhaus (in Kampala) (wenn sie z.B. Symptome zeigen).
Ein weiteres Problem ist, dass wir nicht genügend Masken, Handschuhe oder Sauerstoffgeräte haben.
Wir haben viel zu wenig Personal - sie erreichen uns nicht wegen fehlendem Transport.
Die Situation ist in vielen Einrichtungen sehr schlecht.
Wie arbeiten die Village Health Teams derzeit?
Wir haben sehr hart gearbeitet, um die Menschen in den Gemeinden zu informieren.

Which measures did Uganda take?
Our president Museveni has now stopped everyone to work.
Everyone needs to stay home unless medical staff.
Schools are closed, shops are closed, taxis and boda bodas are not allowed on the roads anymore and people are not working.
That’s why the rates of infected people is low here currently.
People in town receive food by the government.
Where do you get your information from?
We get information through TV and radio.
How did the situation change at Kojja?
One big challenge we have at Kojja Health Centre IV is to get medicine to the facility due to transport.
We are not able to test here, we just screen the patients and send them to Mulago Hospital (in Kampala) (if they e.g. show symptoms).
Another problem is, that we don’t have enough masks, gloves or any oxygen device.
We have way too less workers – they don’t reach due to transport.
The situation is very bad at many facilities.
How do the village health teams currently work?
We have worked very hard to teach the people in the communities.

La gente de la ciudad recibe comida por parte del gobierno.
¿De dónde saca su información?
Obtenemos información a través de la televisión y la radio.
¿Cómo cambió la situación en Kojja?
Un gran desafío que tenemos en el Centro de Salud IV de Kojja es llevar la medicina al centro debido al transporte.
No podemos hacer pruebas aquí, sólo examinamos a los pacientes que muestran síntomas y enviamos las pruebas al Hospital de Mulago (en Kampala).
Otro problema es que no tenemos suficientes máscaras, guantes o cualquier dispositivo de oxígeno.
Tenemos demasiados menos trabajadores - no llegan debido al transporte.
La situación es muy mala en muchas instalaciones.
